How will students communicate with their specialist? Communication with specialists is done through text message.

How long does it take to get matched with a specialist? This process can take up to a 24 hours, depending on specialist availability. We don't rush the process; matching each student with a specialist with a shared identity is crucial.

Can students go back and read their past communications? Yes. We encourage students to save all text communication in their phone. This may help them in reflecting and remembering some of the guidance and input that they received. This is one of the main advantages of text therapy. If they erase it, they can always email us and we will send them a copy, no problem.

How long should students use Zero Judgement Zone? This depends on their needs and varies a lot from one student to another. Some students feel they get most of the value after just a few months, while others prefer to stick to the program for an extended period of time. This is completely up to the student.

Will communication remain confidential? Yes. Generally, the specialist will keep what is told to them confidential, but there are limited exceptions. For example, if they threaten grave harm to themself or to an identifiable victim the specialist is required to report this information to relevant authorities. Before starting, we encourage students to discuss with their specialist their legal obligations to confidentiality if they have any concerns or questions.

Will students stay anonymous? When students sign up we do not ask them for their full name or contact information but rather a "nickname" created by them that will be used to identify them in the system. When they decide to start the process, we will ask them for an emergency contact for emergency situations, such as if their specialist believes that they or someone else might be in danger.
